Sentinel Kids is a comprehensive safety and awareness program designed specifically for today’s youth, focusing on essential skills such as firearm safety and self-defense skills. We believe that the most powerful tool a child can possess is a prepared mind, equipped through effective youth training.

To empower the next generation with the mental awareness, physical skills, and safety education necessary to navigate the world with confidence and responsibility.

Our curriculum transcends traditional martial arts by emphasizing the "Total Safety" spectrum, which includes vital elements such as Situational Awareness, Conflict De-escalation, and essential firearm safety.
Through age-appropriate drills and expert-led instruction, we equip students with essential self defense skills to:
See the World Clearly: Recognize potential hazards before they escalate into problems.
Speak with Authority: Utilize confident body language and vocal commands to establish boundaries.
Act Responsibly: Master the "Universal Safety Rules" to prevent accidents and ensure their homes are safe.
Escape with Confidence: Learn practical, physics-based techniques to break free from grabs and reach safety.

Phase 1: Situational Awareness & Avoidance
The best fight is the one that never happens. This phase focuses on the "Mental Gear" and emphasizes the importance of being aware of your surroundings to enhance your self defense skills.
Phase 2: Firearm Awareness (The "Safety Four")
For youth training, firearm safety is primarily about accident prevention. Even if they never touch a gun at home, they may encounter one at a friend’s house, making it crucial for them to understand the principles of firearm safety.
Phase 3: Physical Self-Defense (Non-Ballistic)
Physical techniques should be a last resort and focus on escaping, not "winning" a fight. Developing self defense skills can empower individuals to protect themselves when necessary.
Phase 4: Practical Drills
Knowledge is useless without "muscle memory." Regular practice through drills reinforces firearm safety and self defense skills.

In the classroom portion of our program, we use inert training aids (often called "Blue Guns" or "Red Guns"). These are solid plastic or rubber molds that cannot fire and have no moving parts. They are used solely to teach safe handling, muzzle discipline, and the "Stop, Don't Touch" protocol in a 100% safe environment.
Actually, the opposite is true. Curiosity often stems from a lack of knowledge. By demystifying firearms and teaching them as serious tools that require adult supervision, we replace "curiosity" with "caution" and "respect." We teach children that if they see a firearm, it is a signal to stop and find an adult—not an invitation to play.
Even if your home is firearm-free, your child may visit a friend’s house, a park, or a relative’s home where a firearm might be present or improperly stored. We view firearm awareness like swimming lessons: you may not have a pool, but your child should still know how to stay safe if they find themselves near the water.
We teach the industry-standard rules used by professionals worldwide, adapted for their age:
Sentinel Kids groups children by developmental age. Our younger "Scouts" (ages 6–10) focus almost entirely on the "Stop, Don't Touch, Run Away, Tell an Adult" mantra. Our older "Guardians" (ages 11+) begin learning more technical handling skills and the mechanics of how safety devices work.
All Sentinel Kids instructors are certified firearm, self-defense, medical and safety professionals with background checks. Our priority is creating a "Safety-First, Ego-Last" environment where every child feels empowered, not intimidated.
